• Application Requirements
    • 1.1 Applicants must have completed high school, passed an equivalent high school standard test, or be currently in their final year of high school (Grade 12 in the US system or year 13 in the British system).
    • 1.2 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in any one of the following English Proficiency tests:

        • TOEFL (Paper-based)             not lower than 550
        • or
        • TOEFL (Internet-based)         not lower than 79   
        • or
        • IELTS                                     not lower than 6.0

      • 1.2.2 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in any one of the following Mathematics tests:
        • SAT (Math) (before 2016)     not lower than 600 (each)
        • or
        • SAT (Math) (from 2016)        not lower than 620 (each) and
        • SAT Subject (Math Level II) not lower than 600 (each)                     
        • or
        • CU-AAT (Math)                   not lower than 480
      • 1.2.3 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in any one of the following Science Proficiency tests: 
        • SAT II (Physics and Chemistry)     not lower than 600 (each)  
        • or
        • CU-ATS                                          not lower than 800
    • 1.3 Applicants who meet only 2 out of the 3 requirements from item 1.2 must still achieve the minimum score in item 1.3. 
      • 1.3.1 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in any one of the following English Proficiency tests:
        • TOEFL (Paper-based)                   not lower than 500
        • or
        • TOEFL (Internet-­based)                not lower than 61   
        • or
        • IELTS                                            not lower than 5.5
        • or
        • CU-­TEP                                        not lower than 61
      • 1.3.2 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in any one of the following Mathematics tests:
        • SAT (Math) (before 2016)            not lower than 570 (each)
        • or
        • SAT (Math) (from 2016)               not lower than 590 (each) and
        • SAT Subject (Math Level II)        not lower than 570 (each)  
        • or
        • CU-AAT (Math)                            not lower than 455 
      • 1.3.3 Applicants must achieve the prescribed minimum score in any one of the following Science Proficiency tests:
        • SAT II (Physics and Chemistry)  not lower than 570 (each)  
        • or
        • CU-ATS                                       not lower than 760

    The official score report of the tests in 1.2 and 1.3 is valid only when the tests were taken not more than two years of the application deadline.

  • How to Apply
    All applicants must complete the application process as outlined below.
    • Apply online 
    Upon successful submission, print out the completed application form and prepare the following supporting materials:
    • Three one-inch photographs 
    • Academic transcript(s) 
    • Official test results for all the required tests.
    • A certificate of student status from current institution (for applicants who are still currently studying in school) 
    • A copy of the Identity Card
    • A copy of house registration

    Submit all documents and an application fee of 1,000 baht (cash only) at the International School of Engineering office, Chulalongkorn University, Room 107 Building 2, Faculty of Engineering between 8:30 a.m. - 4.00 p.m., with the exception of official holidays.

    Note: Applicants must wear school uniform or be formally dressed.
  • Evaluation Criteria
    The Faculty of Engineering will assess each applicant based on the academic performance. The scores will be weighted as follows: 
     
    • Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPAX): 5%
    • Readiness test scores: 5% (The Readiness Test is administered by the Faculty of Engineering and the test date will be announced during the admission season.)
    • English Proficiency test scores: 20%
    • Mathematics test scores: 30%
    • Science test scores: 40%

    Ranking of all applicants will be made based on their scores and their choice of applied major. Each applicant must also pass an interview. 
  • Terms of Enrollment
    In order to be eligible to enroll at Chulalongkorn University, students must have successfully completed upper secondary or high school education. Students who have graduated from international schools in Thailand that have been accredited by the Ministry of Education may use their school transcript or diploma. Otherwise, applicants need to obtain an equivalence certificate from the Ministry of Education.
