     If you are interested in being part of one of our outbound exchange programs, we are inviting you to attend the Chula Student Exchange Program Info Session on Wednesday, Feb 2, 2022 from 1PM – 3PM. The session is for the students who are interested in applying for the outbound student exchange program [both physical and virtual] for the academic year 2022-2023. Come to our Information session to listen to the options available for exchange students. Get more information about the outbound student application process, practical preparations, rules related, exchange destinations and a live Q/A with the OIA staff and former outbound exchange students. If you have any questions regarding our exchange program, you should submit your questions by, together with registering for the event, writing them in the registration form.      Information Session on PhD Scholarship in Computer Science & Information Systems at Singapore Management University
     Speakers: Prof. Wan Wai Yee, Dean of Postgraduate Research Programmes, and Ms.Asha Cholani, Senior Manager, Office of Postgraduate Research Programmes The session will be held on Tuesday February 26, 2019 from 1-3 PM at Suan Ruam Jai 2 meeting room, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering. Brief information about SMU PhD programs: The SMU PhD programs are open to candidates with at least a Bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree is useful though not required. SMU provides fully-funded scholarships which cover registration and subsidised tuition fees. The scholarships also provide monthly living stipends [SGD2,000 (about THB46,000) before the Qualifying Exam and SGD2,500 (about THB 58,000) after the Qualifying Exam]. The scholarships are renewed yearly for a maximum duration of 4 years. For outstanding students in Computer Science or Information Systems, we provide a higher stipend rate (SGD3,750 – about THB 86,000). We also provide generous conference funding for our PhD students to share their research with the international community (up to SGD3,500 or THB81,000). SMU PhD students typically take 4-5 years to complete, In their 5th year, while trying to complete their dissertation, students could either take up Teaching Assistantship (TA) or Research Assistantship (RA) positions.
