AerCap ESG Challenge 2023
We are thrilled to announce that the winning project of the AerCap ESG Challenge 2023 is the "Improving Efficiency of Turnaround Time in Airport Ground Operation" project by Jamorn Wacharasing and Natchaphol Prakobphol This outstanding project aims to streamline airport ground operations, minimizing turnaround time between flights and increasing overall efficiency. By optimizing processes and implementing innovative technologies, the work will contribute to reducing environmental impact and enhancing the overall performance of the aviation industry. On 19th May, Chulalongkorn University hosted the AerCap ESG Challenge, sponsored by AerCap, the global leader in aviation leasing and the largest owner of commercial aircraft in the world. During the event, Aerospace Engineering students showcased their innovative ideas and solutions to tackle environmental, social, and governance challenges in the aviation industry. The projects entered in this year's competition were truly remarkable, covering a wide range of areas in aviation from designing electric aircraft to reduce carbon emissions, to utilizing 3D printing technology to create lightweight and sustainable structures. This year’s participants exemplify the future of aviation, driving sustainable practices and addressing crucial challenges in the industry. Their passion and ingenuity are paving the way for a greener and more responsible aviation sector. Let's celebrate their incredible achievements and commend AerCap for their dedication in promoting ESG initiatives in the aviation field.
