UNITED Erasmus+ Project Training Program on Internal Combustion Engines and Alternative Powertrains The second training program of the UNITED Erasmus+ project on internal combustion engines and alternative powertrains was held at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia (UTeM), Melaka, Malaysia on November 4-8, 2019. The project goals are to enhance student employability and to foster university-industry collaboration in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. Chulalongkorn University was represented by Dr. Prabhath De Silva from International School of Engineering and Dr. Nuksit Noomwongs from Mechanical Engineering Department. Thai Cooking Class for ISE Exchange Students of Academic Year 2019/1
On October 19, 2019, ISE organized Thai cooking class for Inbound Exchange Students at Silom Thai Cooking School. The Thai cooking class gave students a chance to cook various famous Thai recipes including Tom Yum Kung, Tom Kha Gai, Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, Thai Green Curry and Mango with Sticky Rice. There were 10 students participating in the cooking class and gaining an authentic cultural and culinary experience in its rich colors, unique Thai flavors and smells.

AUN/SEED-Net Monitoring Visit of Fiscal Year 2019 at Chula Engineering
On Tuesday 24, September 2019, AUN/SEED-Net organized the monitoring session for AUN/SEED-Net scholarship students of Fiscal Year 2019. Chula Engineering currently has 44 scholarship graduate students studying in 5 major fields, namely, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. These students are from Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Lao, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Participants of the monitoring session were more than 25 people and consisted of associate dean of administration, department heads, deputy director of ISE, student's advisers, ISE staff, and scholarship students. The main purpose of the monitoring session was to evaluate the study progress of AUN/SEED-Net scholarship students, and update the financial regulations of collaborative research projects. In addition, there was information related to the opportunities for AUN/SEED-Net alumni and available resources for the networking and career enhancement after graduation.

UNITED Erasmus+ Project Training Program on Electric Vehicle Powertrain and Automotive IT Connectivity The first training program of the UNITED Erasmus+ project on electric vehicle powertrain and automotive IT connectivity was held at Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia on September 17-20, 2019. The project goals are to enhance student employability and to foster university-industry collaboration in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. Chulalongkorn University was represented by Dr. Prabhath De Silva from International School of Engineering and Dr. Nuksit Noomwongs and Dr. Angkee Sripakagorn from Mechanical Engineering Department. Suankularb Wittayalai School
It was a privilege for the International School of Engineering (ISE), Chulalongkorn University, to welcome a group of teachers and students from Suankularb Wittayalai School on 24th September 2019. Asst. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, the Director of ISE, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattee Niparnan, ISE Robotics and AI curriculum committee member, courteously greeted and introduced them to the Robotics and AI program at ISE.

ISE Community Service and Cultural trip of AY 1/2019
On September 14-15, 2019, International Affairs of Engineering Student Committee organized an ISE exchange program activity “Community Service and Cultural trip” for Inbound Exchange Student Academic year 1/2019 in Kanchanaburi Province We began the trip with the community service activity. Both foreign and Thai students made colorful vocabulary books as English learning materials for elementary students at Ban Sao Hong School. Additionally, the exchange students taught local children using simple English words and played fun games with them at the playground. There were lots of laughter and good time with them. In the evening, there were ice breaking games and culture exchange activities. The participating exchange students came from several counties including France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, China and Philippines. On September 15, 2019, we visited “Mallika City” where exchange students learned Thai lifestyle during King Rama IV-V’s era and enjoyed peaceful nature. It was a very memorable and meaningful experience for exchange students and they all had made new friends with Thai buddies.
