AerCap ESG Challenge 2023
We are thrilled to announce that the winning project of the AerCap ESG Challenge 2023 is the "Improving Efficiency of Turnaround Time in Airport Ground Operation" project by Jamorn Wacharasing and Natchaphol Prakobphol This outstanding project aims to streamline airport ground operations, minimizing turnaround time between flights and increasing overall efficiency. By optimizing processes and implementing innovative technologies, the work will contribute to reducing environmental impact and enhancing the overall performance of the aviation industry. On 19th May, Chulalongkorn University hosted the AerCap ESG Challenge, sponsored by AerCap, the global leader in aviation leasing and the largest owner of commercial aircraft in the world. During the event, Aerospace Engineering students showcased their innovative ideas and solutions to tackle environmental, social, and governance challenges in the aviation industry. The projects entered in this year's competition were truly remarkable, covering a wide range of areas in aviation from designing electric aircraft to reduce carbon emissions, to utilizing 3D printing technology to create lightweight and sustainable structures. This year’s participants exemplify the future of aviation, driving sustainable practices and addressing crucial challenges in the industry. Their passion and ingenuity are paving the way for a greener and more responsible aviation sector. Let's celebrate their incredible achievements and commend AerCap for their dedication in promoting ESG initiatives in the aviation field.
AerCap visited ISE Aerospace Engineering students
Gillian Culhane, Vice President Corporate Communications of AerCap, and Joe Millar, Head of Technical Asia Pacific at AerCap visited ISE Aerospace Engineering students at the Faculty of Engineering on 18 April 2023. The students were introduced to Captain AER, AerCap’s ESG Mascot (top left), at a special talk where Gillian presented the company's recent successful rebranding project and the ESG efforts to commit to operating its aircraft leasing business responsibly and sustainably. They were given a warm welcome by scholarship students (bottom right). In 2021, AerCap launched a 4-year scholarship programme providing 10 scholarships to ISE aerospace engineering students. In addition to the scholarships, AerCap provides a range of tailored supports to students including guest lectures, workshops, support with research projects, summer internships and sponsorship to CUHAR students’ club.

Congratulations to ISE juniors from Robotics and AI Program
Congratulations to Mr. Pasutha Daichi Ide, Mr.Thakorn Swaengkit, Mr.Trivit Damrongrat, and Mr. Warit Juthasopon, ISE juniors from Robotics and AI Program, and Mr.Thiti Chewcharat, a sophomore from Industrial Engineering Department, from AVOcado team for winning Chula LegalTech 2020 Competition (Year 1). The winning business model by the team was about trademarks and IPs search via image and text recognition to help lawyers identify similarities among trademarks.

ISE COMMUNITY SERVICE AND CULTURAL TRIP OF AY 2019/2
ISE and International Affairs of Engineering Student Committee organized the “ISE Community Service and Cultural trip” in Rayong Province as part of exchange program for inbound exchange students of Academic Year 2019/2. The participating exchange students came from several countries including France, Indonesia, Japan and U.S.A. On February 15, 2020, we began the trip with the community service activity. Both exchange students and Thai students learned the construction of crab condos to create biodiversity of mangrove forest ecosystems and released mangrove crabs into their natural habitat at Rayong River at Mangrove Forest Conservation Group. In the evening, there were ice breaking games and cultural exchange activities. On February 16, 2020, we visited Old Town Rayong, Yom Jinda Road where exchange students learned Thai lifestyle, culture, and enjoyed peaceful environment.
