New Southbound Policy Mandarin and Semiconductor Short-term Study Program
New Southbound Policy Mandarin and Semiconductor Short-Term Study Program offered by the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). Through this program, students will have the opportunity to study semiconductor courses alongside Chinese language courses at NTUT. Successful applicants will receive funding, which includes airfare, living expenses, housing, and tuition fees, all provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). Participants will not only enhance their language skills but also engage in cultural activities, learn about the semiconductor industry, and meet new people. The short-term study program will run from 11th September 2023 to 12th January 2024, spanning a duration of five months. To apply for this program, interested students must submit the following application materials: 1. Passport copy (Photo) 2. Enrollment Letter from your university 3. Curriculum Vitae (CV) Eligibility criteria for the program are as follows: 1. The applicant should be a sophomore, junior, or senior from universities in New Southbound countries. 2. The applicant should not hold a passport from the People's Republic of China (including Hong Kong and Macau) or Taiwan (Republic of China). 3. The applicant should not be a recipient of other financial aid from the government, agencies, or educational institutions of Taiwan. The application deadline is 3rd July 2023. Falling Walls Lab Thailand 2023 Falling Walls Lab, an international pitch competition, is coming to Thailand again soon. Applications are possible until 10 July 2023. WHAT IS FALLING WALLS LAB THAIAND ABOUT? Presenting a fascinating idea, a ground-breaking research project, or a sophisticated business model in three minutes: This is the Falling Walls Lab Thailand. At Falling Walls Lab Thailand, students and early-career professionals of all disciplines pitch their ideas in English in front of an expert-jury and the interested public – in just three minutes. WHEN AND WHERE WILL FALLING WALLS LAB THAILAND TAKE PLACE? Falling Walls Lab Thailand will be held on 26 August 2023 in Krungthai Innovation Lab (tbc), Bangkok. A week before Falling Walls Lab Thailand on 19 August 2023, KMITL KRIS will provide a training to all successful applicants on how to deliver an effective pitch. WHO CAN APPLY? Falling Walls Lab welcomes ideas from any discipline that can have a positive impact on society and/or science. Applicants must be 18 years or older when submitting their application. ISE Academic Excellence and Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony of AY2022
On Friday, January 20, 2023, ISE organized the ISE Academic Excellence and Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony of AY2022, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuprasit, the director of the International Engineering Program, presided over the ceremony alongside administrators and faculty members, awarding certificates to outstanding students of the academic year 2022 and to recognize ISE's alumni who perform outstanding public services and contributions to ISE and the Faculty of Engineering, who are highly distinguished in their business, profession, or life's work, and who are the role model whose actions we can take pride in or whose actions inspire us all, this year ISE proudly presents the first Distinguished Alumni Awards to Khun Nattapat Lertviriyaswas (ADME class of 2015) and Khun Intouch Marsvongpragorn (ICE class of 2017). Khun Nattapat Lertviriyaswas is the CEO of Edison Motors, the producer of the famous electric motorcycle, 'Edison Volta'. Edison Motors is a new startup who specializes in electric motorcycle innovation and is the first Thai brand to hit the 'ECO Trend' market. The innovation aims to reduce pollution, conserve energy, and reduce the expense for the consumers. Khun Intouch Marsvongpragorn is the CEO of Via Group (Thailand), the inventor of ViaBus - a real time public transport tracking and navigation application. ViaBus is the first of its kind in Thailand to integrate all modes of public transportation into one application. It changes the world of transportation, putting Thailand on the global stage and was awarded the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia - 2021 by Forbes magazine. Both Khun Nattapat and Khun Intouch also regularly support the activities and events of ISE students and the Faculty of Engineering.
