Prof. Shanton Chang and Ms.Stephaie Do Carmo from Melbourne School of Engineering, The University of Melbourne, Australia visit ISE on March 21, 2018. The purpose of visit is to discuss on the collaboration on student exchange, short term research study, and internship between two schools.
ISE Student activities : ISE student win the U-REAL competition held by KPMG
ISE students have attended the U-REAL competition held by KPMG, which is a business advisory firm and one of the Big Four auditors. https://home.kpmg.com/…/…/home/services/advisory/u-real.html The final round was held on Wednesday 28th February 2018 at KPMG Headquarter, Empire Tower, Sathorn. In this competition, the participants have to analyze problems/pain points of the real clients of the firm and come up with solutions/recommendations. The proposed solution must be technologically and commercially feasible within 2 years. The judges consist of KPMG's executives, corresponding clients, universities' professors. Among 34 teams from various universities all over the country, our ISE students won the first prize, as well as many other prizes as follows. Winner: "Silver Fork" team, which is comprised of four of our 3rd-year NANO students. They proposed a novel approach of analyzing DNA to specify target customers for the client, which is a big health insurance company. The team also received the Popular Vote Award. 2nd-runner: "The REAL" team, which is comprised of one 4th-year NANO student and four 4th-year ADME students. Most Facebook Likes award: "Americano" team, which is comprised of one 3rd-year NANO student, and the rest are BBA, Thai program's Chem Eng, IE students.

ISE Student activities : Google Thailand visit
On January 31st, 2018 ISE took the 4th year of Automotive Design and Manufacturing Engineering to visit Google Thailand. The goal of the visit was to expose students to the real-life working environment.The visit was very fruitful, students enjoyed being outside the classroom environment. They immersed themselves in the office surroundings and learned about the various google innovation products and services. The visit will be allow our students to be able to realize their underlying potential. It doesn't matter which university they are from, but as long as they push themselves and pursue their goal, all of them have the potential to grow and succeed.
Exploring Engineering World workshop: Design Thinking
On Tuesday 30 January 2018 Dr. Porramate Chumyim, a program manager from Nation Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office, who is also an editor-in-chief for the ASEANER magazine and a Fullbrighter & Thai Royal Golden Jubilee scholar, gave a workshop on “Design Thinking” to freshman students in “Exploring Engineering World” course.
